Name (Institute + Shorttitle)KU Leuven Facade
Description (include details on usage, files and paper references)The KU Leuven Facade dataset is used for architectural styles classification.

M. Mathias, A. Martinovic, J. Weissenberg, S. Haegler, L. Van Gool: Automatic Architectural Style Recognition, Proceedings of the 4th ISPRS International Workshop 3D-ARCH 2011: "3D Virtual Reconstruction and Visualization of Complex Architectures"

If you intend to use this dataset in a scientific publication, please refer to it as KU Leuven Facade Dataset.

Archive structure:
background/ - 288 images. Contains the background images, i.e. not corresponding to one of the desired styles.
flemish_renaissance/ - 169 images. Examples of the Flemish Renaissance style.
neoclassical/ - 242 images. Examples of the Neoclassical style.

Important notes:
1. All the images are rectified with the algorithm presented in the paper.
2. The number of images is slightly different from the numbers in the paper due to copyright issues.
3. Background images from 0242.png to 0287.png are reused from the dataset of Antanas et al: "A Relational Distance-Based Framework for Hierarchical Image Understanding"
4. Haussmann style building dataset can be downloaded from the Ecole Centrale Paris Facades Database, (accessed in May 2011)
